The National Cathedral project will soon be the subject of an examination by the government.

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) recommended that the government examine the project and look into any possible misuse of public funds. This will be a follow-up to that proposal.

"The government is required to adhere to this directive and will shortly initiate an inquiry into the project," he stated.

At the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday, January 12, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra's Ohene Konadu Auditorium, he made this announcement (UPSA).

Speaking about the project's future, the president stated: "I think it is important for Christians to come to an agreement on how to accomplish such a project without using public dollars.

Given Ghana's current situation, he stated, the project must be completed at a fair cost, emphasizing that "it makes no sense to achieve such a project at a whopping sum of $400 million."

Together, we can acquire the necessary funds, and I think we can come up with a more realistic goal for completing such a project.
